Backcountry Productions was established in 1987 out of Longmont, CO as a family run business.
We began our company to provide a voice for alternative, life-transformative information, and to give a voice to that which doesn’t generally reach the mainstream, such as holistic health and spirituality.

Over the years, we have widened our scope to include a broader range of topics, including paranormal studies, alternative energy, wilderness travel, ecology, and backcountry sports such as canoeing, skiing & backpacking.

We have developed a reputation for excellence in working with long-term clients such as The Omega Institute, Naropa University & The Chopra Center.
